Deputy Mayor Joe Camarota was first elected to office in 2004 as a councilman and has since served South Brunswick Township Council for 4 consecutive terms. As of May, 2018 Councilman Camarota was appointed Deputy Mayor. A resident, along with his wife Charlotte, of the Township since 1989, Camarota has played an active and vital role in our community affairs. Camarota attained Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Political Science and later earned a Master of Arts in Education at Seton Hall University. Currently, he presides over Alpha Omega Amusements, Inc as the Chief Operating Officer and is consultant with Amusement Entertainment Management, LLC. Camarota has served as the liaison to several Township based committees including: Recreation, Transportation, Economic Development as well as the Kingston Village Advisory Committee.

With a continuing and constant regard to the annual budget, he has also actively contributed to legislation and the advancement of open space, farmland preservation, passive and active recreation, vehicular and pedestrian crossing concerns. Passionate about civic duty and responsibility, he has also served on several non-profit boards and charities, along with being a recreation/travel coach for youth soccer and baseball during his residency in South Brunswick.
